A musical voyage of light and sound with VOX Cape Town

31.08.17  In the third installment of their “New Soundscapes” series, VOX Cape Town invites you to embark on a musical voyage of light and sound to the mythical Northern Lights.

With special guests Matthew Golesworthy (organ/piano) and Ariella Caira (cello), the special performance will feature a smorgasbord of contemporary composers from the Baltic region, including Arvo Pärt (Estonia), Ola Gjeilo (Norway), Henryk Górecki (Poland), Igor Stravinsky (Russia), Ēriks Ešenvalds (Latvia) and Jaakko Mäntyjärvi (Finland).

So don your snow boots on Friday1 or Saturday 2 September and head to St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Green Point. From 19h30 you can join them for a cup of steaming glühwein and the concert will start at 20h00.

To acknowledge the important relationship between VOX Cape Town, part of the proceeds from this performance will be donated to the church.

Copies of VOX’s first album, “Trust the Silences”, will also be on sale for R100.
