Amalia Verbeek is a registered Music Therapist and has a private practice in Centurion.

•  Registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) under the Arts Therapies, since 2006, practice number AT 0000663.
•  Private Music Therapy practice in Centurion at a centre that provides an array of therapies and stimulation programmes for children.
•  She offers individual and group therapy for adults, children, families, schools and parent/carer support groups.
•  Group and Individual music therapy sessions at a private school for children with special needs.
•  Part of a multi-disciplinary therapy programme at Headway Gauteng (a fully registered welfare organisation dedicated to assisting people with an acquired brain injury).

Amalia is qualified to use the following Music Therapy approaches:

•  Creative Music Therapy: An active clinical-musical approach involving music improvisation on a variety of instruments, well-suited for clients with mental, communicative, physical disabilities and psychiatric disorders (no musical skill or training required).
•  Community Music Therapy: A group musical improvisation and performance approach, with community building, empowerment, development of autonomy, agency and self confidence as main goals.
