The Cape Welsh Choir

The Cape Welsh Choir

The Cape Welsh Choir was established in 1982 and is a member of the Welsh Association of Male Voice Choirs.

Since its inception more than thirty years ago, the Cape Welsh Choir has made hundreds of appearances to countless enthralled audience members, fans and supporters both locally and internationally.

Established by the late Rosa Salmon to assist local Public Benefit Organizations and promote the rich cultural tradition of Welsh Male Voice Choir, the Cape Welsh Choir has proudly been entertaining and inspiring choral music lovers ever since.

The current members come from a variety of backgrounds that all share the love of singing in the rousing Welsh male voice tradition.

Performance venues have ranged from imposing concert halls to modest rural schools, and over the years, performances have varied from conventional concerts to State functions and musical productions.

The love of singing in this genre, together with the resultant benefits enjoyed by a variety of worthwhile causes, are the principal objectives of the choir.

The Cape Welsh Choir is conducted by Wesley Lewis.
