Douglas Masek (saxophone) & Neal Stulberg (piano)

The Unisa Music Foundation is proud to present internationally renowned saxophonist Douglas Masek this winter. His smooth, rich and dazzling playing is showcased in a wide range of musical styles, from classical and contemporary to jazz.

The programme includes pieces such as ‘a la Mozart’ by Melvin Solomon, an arrangement of Café 1930 by Astor Piazzolla and Introduction and Allegro by South Africa’s own Allan Stephenson.

Dr Masek will be accompanied by the acclaimed conductor and pianist Neal Stulberg, a graduate of Harvard College, the University of Michigan and the Juilliard School.  Both artists are based at the University of California (Los Angeles) where Douglas Masek is Professor of Saxophone and Neal Stulberg is Professor and Chair of the UCLA Department of Music.
