The PSO presents : Finesse - A Foray into French Romanticism
The Pretoria Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Gerben Grooten, is presenting a varied programme with a distinctly French flavour.
The programme features the Fifth Piano Concerto, “The Egyptian”, by Camille Saint-Saëns and Gabriel Fauré’s famous Elégie for Cello and orchestra.
The talented young soloists, both students at the University of Pretoria, are pianist Willem de Beer and PSO’s principal cellist, Wernd van Staden.
The evening will conclude with the deeply romantic Symphony in D minor by César Franck.
